Mise-en-Scène Questions:

  1. What is visually dominant in the scene?
    The leaves in the scene are visually dominant
  2. What type of lighting is used in the scene: High Key or Low Key; and is it Hard High Contrast Light or Soft Low Contrast Light?
    The lighting in the scene is High Key, there is a lot of bright light being used throughout the scene
  3. What type of framing is used to show your subject in the frame: Extreme Long Shot, Long Shot, Full Shot, Medium Shot, Close-up, or Extreme Close-up?
    The type of framing used is close up shots and medium shots
  4. What camera angle is used: Bird’s Eye View, high Angle, Eye-Level, or Low Angle? Is the shot also at an Oblique Angle?
    The camera angle used in the video is an eye- level view and some low angle shots
  5. What is the overall color palette in the scene?
    The overall color palette in the scene is green
  6. What type of lens and Film Stock do you think was used: Was it a wide-angle lens (like a GoPro) or a Telephoto lens? Was a fast film stock used (better for dark scenes or fast subjects) or a slow film stock probably used (better for bright scenes or slow / stationary subjects).

    The second most dominant thing in the scene is the American Flag on the pole

    My scene is densely composed
  9. What type of composition is used, is it primarily vertical, horizontal, or diagonal? Was a triangular or circular composition used?
    Primarily Vertical
  10. Is the scene formally arranged, or is it more naturally composed?
    It is more naturally composed
  11. Are your musicians compressed within the space, or do they have open room to move around in?
    There is open room to move around in the setting it takes place
  12. Is a Shallow Depth of Field used (the background is blurred) or a Deep Depth of Field used (everything, including far off mountains, is in focus)?
    The background is blurred in some shots so it is a shallow depth
  13. Where in the frame is the musician placed: Top, Bottom, Far Left, Far Right, Centered, or Slightly Off Center?
    Centered
  14. Where is your musician looking: at the camera, near the camera, at another character, off screen?
    Facing towards the camera and some shots they are near the camera
  15. What is the distance between your musicians: intimate, personal, social, public? The distance is public 

The leaves and trees in the video are close together so there is not much distance
